SUNDAY 16TH JUNE 2013

Weather: Raining with light winds.

1st Place: Shaun Townsend with 111lb 3oz fishing long pole to the island with meat and banded pellet from peg 2. A WINDMILL RECORD CATCH.

2nd Place: Eric Best fishing peg 22 with 30lb 8oz using a long pole to the island.

3rd Place: Dave Haines using feeder to the island from peg 26 with 27lb.

Silvers: Dave Haines with 6lb 12oz.

  

SUNDAY 9 JUNE 2013

Weather: Bright, sunny and breezy.

1st Place: Bernice Britton (Windmill Fishery) with 40lb from peg 10 fishing the method to the island.

2nd Place: Bob Price (Windmill Fishery) fishing lead to the island from peg 22 with 30lb 6oz.

Silvers: Andy Guard (Alcove) with 7lb 12oz.

  

SUNDAY 2 JUNE 2013

Weather: Bright and Sunny.

1st Place: £30 John Fuidge with 47lb 7oz fishing the margins on short pole from peg 28 including 12 large fish.

2nd Place: £20 Steve Dawson with 33lb 15oz fishing the waggler to the island from peg 4.

3rd Place: £15 John Clark fishing the long pole to open water using pellet from peg 6 with 25lb 12oz.

Silvers: £15 Steve Jefferies fishing long pole to the island using chopped worm and caster with 10lb 9oz from peg 22.

Weather: Calm, warm and sunny.

1st Place:  Martin Rayet with 36lb 8oz from peg 14 fishing long pole to the island using corn and maggot.

2nd Place: Pete Humphries with 22lb 10oz from peg 22 fishing the long pole with paste and pellet.

3rd Place: David Haines with 16lb 2oz from peg 18 using the short pole.

 Silvers Prize: Jeff Agus from peg 11 with 9lb 2oz using the long pole and maggot.

Weather: Calm, warm and sunny.

1st Place: John Clark with 28lb 7oz fishing long pole to the island feeding pellet from peg 26.

2nd Place: John Fuidge with 24lb 9oz from peg 3 fishing luncheon meat with a long pole to the island.

Silvers Prize: Steve Jefferies with 6lb 10oz fishing worm to the island with long pole from peg 6.

 

SUNDAY 12 MAY 2013

Weather: Overcast and damp.

1st Place: Bob Price fishing pellet to the island from peg 2 with 18lb 8oz.

2nd Place: Bill Ferris with 10lb of Silvers on the pole with worm from peg 10.

1st Place: Martin Burge with 5lb 8oz.

2nd Place: Gordon Burge with 4lb 4oz.

3rd Place: Martin Cole with 2lb 4oz.

Weather: Warm and Sunny.

1st Place: Richard Britten with 25lb 11oz fishing lead and luncheon meat from peg 8. Richard also won the Golden Peg.

2nd Place: Bernice Britten fishing the method with luncheon meat from peg 32 with 21lb 11 oz.

3rd Place: Jack Arpino with 16lb 13oz fishing the feeder with pellet on hook from peg 10.

Congratulations also to Pete Humphries who won thew Silvers competition.

 

 

SUNDAY 28APRIL 2013 (12 Anglers)

Weather: Very cold, breezy with sunny intervals.

1st Place: Keith Bilder with 35lb 11oz from peg 21 fishing soft pellet on an 11m pole.

2nd Place: Ray Duncan with 31lb 15oz fishing the method and luncheon meat from peg 27.

3rd Place: Bob Price with 12lb from peg 9 with luncheon meat on lead.

  

SUNDAY 21 APRIL 2013 (17 Anglers)

1st Place: Sean Townsend (sponsored by Mavers of Bathampton) with 90lb fishing long pole to the island with luncheon meat and pellet from peg 24.

2nd Place: Jason Shirley (Swindon)  with 35lb from peg 20 fishing long pole to the island with maggot.

3rd Place: Kevin Millard (Glenfall Angling Club) with 27lb fishing long pole to mid water using sweetcorn from peg 13.

4th Place: Glen Bailey (Windmill Angling Club) with 17lb from peg 4 fishing method to the island using luncheon meat.

5th Place: Bernice Britton (Windmill Angling Club) with 15lb fishing method to the island & luncheon meat from peg 7.

 

SUNDAY 14 APRIL 2013

1st Place: Ray Duncan from peg 32 fishing 4mm tubes of luncheon meat in the margins with 48lb 10oz.

2nd Place: David Haines fishing with the feeder and short pole on maggot from peg 10 with 48lb 4oz.

3rd Place: John Clark from peg 4 fishing pellet and long pole to mid water with 31lb 12oz.

 

 

SUNDAY 7 APRIL 2013 

1st Place: Bradley Sowden with 21lb 3oz using the pole with 6mm pellet and feeding from peg 8.

2nd Place: Dave Haines with 14lb 20z fishing maggot with straight lead to the island from peg 26.

3rd Place: Bob Price with 13lb 9oz from peg 2 using feeder with 8mm course pellet on hair rig to the island.

4th Place: Jason Shirley with 11lb 1oz using the long pole and maggot from peg 18.

 

SUNDAY 31 MARCH 2013

Weather: Minus 7 degrees overnight, bitterly cold and partly frozen lake

1st Place: Glen Bailey with 7lb 5oz fishing the method to the island with single maggot from peg 2

2nd Place: Bill Ferris fishing the long pole with maggot and ground bait. Bill landed 5lb 9oz from peg 26

3rd Place: Jeff Agus with 5lb 7oz from peg 10 using the long pole, maggot and an 18 hook.

3rd Place: Steve Dawson fishing waggler to the island with 4lb 4oz from peg 28.

Weather: Very cold, strong winds.

1st Place: Bill Ferris from peg 10 fishing feeder to the island with 14lb 13oz.

2nd Place: Steve Dawson fishing peg 2 and lead to the island with 12lb 5oz.

3rd Place: John Clark on peg 29 using feeder to the island with 11lb 12oz.

Weather: Very cold, overnight heavy frost.

No competition held this Sunday as all lakes frozen over.

Weather: Very cold, snow flurries, windy.

1st Place: John Clark fishing peg 29 (Golden Peg) using lead to the island landed 19lb 8oz.

2nd Place: Glen Bailey fishing the method to the island from peg 22 with 9lb 12oz.

3rd Place: Bill Ferris fishing peg 2 and lead to the island with 4lb 8oz.

 

SUNDAY 17 FEBRUARY 2013

Weather: Very frosty at first with cold wind.

1st Place: Steve Dawson fishing peg 2 using the waggler and picked up 4 Common's weighing 18lb 2oz.

2nd Place: Bernice Britton with 13lb 8oz from peg 8 using the method to the island.

3rd Place: John Clark (Golden Peg) number 14 with 11lb 14oz fishing a short pole with 22 hook and single pinkie.

4th Place: Rodney Buss with 8lb 15oz from peg 10 fishing the method to the island.

 

SUNDAY 10 FEBRUARY 2013

Weather: Heavy rain, cold.

1st Place:John Clarke with 30lb 10oz from peg 2 fishing long pole with expanding pellet.

2nd Place: Bill Ferris on peg 32 with 16lb 8oz.

3rd Place: Matt Tainton on peg 22 with 13lb 8oz.

4th Place: Keith Bilder with 12lb 8oz fishing peg 24.   

 

SUNDAY 3 FEBRUARY 2013 

Weather: Cold and Windy

1st Place: And winner of the Windmill Fishery Winter League.. Dave Britton. Dave fished the method and maggot from peg 2 and landed the biggest Carp caught to date from the Match Lake at 10lb plus and with a total of 15lb 11oz.

2nd Place: And third overall in the Winter League was Ray Duncan. Ray fished peg 26 using pole, maggot and corn to land 11lb.

3rd Place: Was J Wintle fishing peg 20 with a catch of 8lb using pole and maggot.

Weather: Cold and frosty

1st Place: Bradley Sowden on peg 2 using pellet on short and long poles with a total weight of 10lb 12oz.

2nd Place: Tom Curtis on peg 26 with 7lb 10oz. Tom used a long pole and maggot.

3rd Place: Bill Ferris with 5lb 1oz fishing long pole with maggot on peg 32.

 

SUNDAY 6 JANUARY 2013

Weather: Bright and mild

1st Place: John Clark with 23lb 12oz.

2nd Place: Dave Britton with 15lb 3oz.

3rd Place: Glen Bailey with 5lb 7oz

4th Place: Dave Jones with 5lb 2oz.

SUNDAY 9 DECEMBER

The morning was very cold and bright and a much better weekend for fishing.

1st Place: Ray Duncan fishing method to the island. Ray caught 22lb 14oz to win the match. Well done Ray.

 2nd Place: Went to Peter Humphries on peg 8 fishing cage feeder to the island to land 19lb 15oz.

3rd Place: John Clark fishing a long pole to the island from peg 20. John caught 13lb 13oz.

4th Place: Went to Eugene Pidhoreckys fishing 9m pole to mid water. Eugene lost 2 big carp but landed a total of 9lb 10oz.

5th Place:  Was Glen Bailey on peg 6 fishing feeder to the island with 8lb 8oz.

6th Place: Went to Dave Britton fishing from peg 18 with method to the margins and one carp weighing 7lb 9oz.

 

SUNDAY 2 DECEMBER

The morning was very cold and frosty with 3/4 of the lake covered with ice.

1st place: Jason Shirley fishing a long pole to mid water using a single maggot. Roy caught a 3lb 4oz carp to win the match.

 2nd Place: Went to Dave Britton with a 2lb 140z carp fishing method to the island.

3rd Place: Bill Ferris with one roach.

 

SUNDAY 25 NOVEMBER

The morning was very cold and frosty.

 1st Place: Bernice Britton fishing method to the island with a catch of 18lb 1oz worth of carp. Congratulations Bernice for this AND the Golden Peg.

  2nd Place: Steve Jefferies with 12lb 5oz. Stev fished the pole to mid water and the margins.

3rd Place: Bill Ferris with 8lb 14oz fishing the cage feeder to the island.

4th Place: Dave Britton fishing the method to the island with a catch of 7lb 9oz.

 

SUNDAY 18 NOVEMBER 

Weather: The morning was very cold and frosty with the hardest frost of the season so far.

1st Place:  Bernice Britton fishing method to the island with a catch of 7lb 2oz worth of carp. Congratulations Bernice on your first Open win.

 2nd Place: went to Amy Harris a Windmill Junior with 6lb 8oz. Well done Amy. Amy fished the pole mid water from peg 19.

3rd Place: was Glen Bailey on peg 22 with one carp of 3lb 4oz.

 

SUNDAY 28 OCTOBER

The weather was a little unkind to us this weekend with bitterly cold winds on Saturday.

1st Place: John Clark fishing peg 18 with 36lb on the long pole to the margins and the island. Well done John.

2nd Place: Glen Bailey with 33lb 8oz from peg 28. Glen fished the method.

3rd Place: Third was Ray Duncan on peg 22 fishing long pole with caster and landed 18lb.

 

SUNDAY 21 OCTOBER

Weather: Calm but foggy

1st Place: Dave Britton with 38lb 13oz from peg 22 fishing the method to the island. Dave also won the Golden Peg. Congratulations Dave.

2nd Place: Glen Bailey on peg 26 with 31lb 4oz fishing method to the island.

3rd Place: Bernice Britton using method to the island from peg 24 with 29lb 12oz.

 

SUNDAY 16 SEPTEMBER

Weather: Overcast

1st Place: A Big welcome to a new Windmill angler, Richie Hawkins who won with 28lb 10oz from peg 32. Well done Richie.

2nd Place: Roger Putterhill with 26lb 6oz from peg 24 using the method to the island.

3rd Place: Matt tainton on peg 26 using a long pole to the island with 23lb 6oz.

4th Place:  Keith Bilder on peg 12 with 22lb 4oz fishing a long pole to the island.

 

SUNDAY 9 SEPTEMBER

Weather: Bright and sunny.

1st Place: Martin Ryatt on peg 8 fishing hard pellet on the lead with 64lb 4oz.

2nd Place: Sean Townsend on peg 10 with 48lb 3oz from peg 10.

3rd Place: Ray Duncan from peg 22 with 27lb 4oz using the feeder. 

4th Place: Bernice Bitton from peg 24 using the method with 26lb 2oz.

 

SUNDAY 2 SEPTEMBER

Weather: Warm and sultry.

1st Place: Ian Sweeney joined us for the first time and won the match with 56lb 2oz fishing peg 24 with a long pole to the island. Well done Ian.

2nd Place: Keith Bilder fishing peg 6 landed 42lb 12oz with a long pole to the reeds. Keith was on the Golden Peg and nearly landed the big one!

3rd Place: Martin Bilder caught 23lb 12oz fishing a long pole.

Joint 4th was Jeff Wines and dave Britton with 20lb of fish each.  Another good match at Windmill.

  

SUNDAY 19 AUGUST

Weather: Overcast in the morning but brighter in the afternoon, very warm.

1st Place: Keith Bilder on peg 10 fishing a long pole with paste with 46lb 14oz.

2nd Place: Luke Pester on peg 6 with 36lb 12oz using a long pole to the island.

3rd Place: Bill Ferris on peg 22 fishing worm with 23lb 8oz.

4th Place: Dave Britton on peg 15 fishing the margins with 18lb 8oz.

 

SUNDAY 12 AUGUST

Weather: Showery and warm with the odd thunder storm .

1st Place: Dave Britton with 37lb 2oz of Carp fishing peg 2 to the margins

2nd place: Bill Ferris on peg 18 with 23lb 8oz fishing a lon pole with chopped worm. Bill Landed a 9lb 10oz Mirror.

3rd Place: Graham Millard fish the long pole from peg 24.

4th Place: Jason Shirley on peg 8 with 19lb 6oz fishing straight lead.

5th Place: Ian Fox on peg 10 with 18lb 8oz using feeder to the island.

 

 

SUNDAY 5 AUGUST

Weather: Stormy

1st Place: Keith Bilder on peg 16 landed a net of 59lb using paste and a long pole. Keith's biggest carp was a 9lb mirror.

2nd Place: Glen Bailey on the method from peg 20 who landed a catch of 25lb.

 

SUNDAY 8 JULY

Weather: Cloudy, warm, light breeze picking up

1st Place: Keith Bilder with 95lb 1oz fishing long pole to the island from peg2.

2nd Place: John Clark on peg 6 with 68lb using long pole to the island and pellet.

3rd Place: Glen Bailey fishing the method to the island from peg 22 with 29lb.

 

 

Sunday 1 July

Weather: Windy, wet with occasional heavy showers.

1st Place: Matt Tainton on peg 27 with 23lb 10oz.

2nd Place: Keith Bilder on peg 10 with 20lb 5oz.

3rd Place: Martin Bilder on peg 14 with 19lb 10oz.

 

Sunday 24 June.

Weather: Warm and breezy but heavy rain Friday and Saturday dropped the water temperature.

1st Place: John Clark fishing peg 25 on the method to  4oz.the island with 24lb 4oz.

2nd Place: Mike Snugden with 15lb 10oz on the method to the margins from peg 27.

3rd Place: Peter Humphries with 10lb 8oz also fishing the method to the island from peg 21

 

Sunday 17 June.

Weather: Warm and breezy with some good sunshine, odd showers.

1st Place: Keith Bilder with 39lb 10oz from peg 6 using a long pole to the island on maggot.

2nd Place: Martin Bilder fishing the margins on worm with 10lb.

 

Sunday 10 June.

Weather: An overcast but quiet day after the high winds and storms.

1st Place: Dan Beams fishing from peg 10 on the method to the island and maggot with a fantastic haul of 31lbs. Congratulations Dan.

2nd Place: Steve Jefferies with 17lb 14oz on the long pole to the island using chopped worm and casters.

3rd Place: Pete Humphries on the method from peg 25 and maggot with 10lb 10oz.
